Membership Information

The Westchester Horse Council is a chapter of the New York State Horse Council. By becoming a member, you support both organizations! When you indicate a chapter on your membership form, 40% of your membership dues support that chapter.

While we currently do not have the capability to process online applications, you can download a copy of the membership application here. To join as a member of the Westchester Horse Council, simply check the appropriate dash on the form, and mail it in to the noted address. Often, applications can take several weeks to process.

Your New York State Horse Council/ Westchester Horse Council membership entitles you to the Equisure $1,000,000.00 Excess Equine Personal Liability Insurance through Saddle Partners of America. For more information, please refer to the NYS Horse Council website.

The current dues schedule is as follows:

Individual/ Family/ Life Membership includes $1M individual 24/7 liability insurance.

Individual-One adult (includes all children in the household under 18)- $55.00
Family- Two adults (includes all children in the household under 18)- $75.00
Life- $500.00

Clubs/ Business/ Educational type and dues structure:
Each Club, Business, or Educational Institution, no matter the size will get one newsletter and one vote. (No insurance coverage)

Clubs: 0-50 members- $50
            51-100 members- $75
            101-250 members- $100
            251-500 members- $150
            501 members and over- $200

Equine Business: 0-50 employees- $50
                                51-250 employees- $100
                                251 employees and over- $200

Educational Institutions with recognized equine programs- $50
